A wedding dress made entirely out of balloons may not be at the top of your list, but it does show just how far Bulphan-based Balloon Art Studio is willing to take its creativity.

Balloons are often dismissed as tacky wedding décor, but couples looking for more unusual displays for their reception shouldn't be afraid of exploring the options.

Jodie Norris, the company's creative manager, said: "Balloon décor has come a long way over the past few years. We like to look at what we do as balloon artistry, and after viewing our website you will understand why. We do not imagine that people will want to get married in one of these wedding dresses, but hopefully they will look a little deeper into what is available for their special day."

Happy couples can now say 'I do' on board one of Britain's most celebrated icons - the Concorde. Based at the Brooklands Museum in Weybridge, Surrey, the county council has licensed the passenger jet for marriages and civil partnership ceremonies. The license was given 40 years after Concorde made its first supersonic flight on October 1st, 1969. There will be room for a wedding party of 32 on board the plane, but sadly airline meals won't be included.

Concorde business manager Jan Knott said: "When Concorde was in service, requests were received weekly from people who wanted to get married on board. They couldn't then but they can now."

Couples who tie the knot on the jet can experience the same luxury once enjoyed by the likes of Madonna, Elton John and Paul McCartney on transatlantic flights.

Surrey county councillor, Denise Saliagopoulos, said: "We were more than happy to provide a civil wedding license that will mean this much-loved icon of the air can continue to be a place for happy memories long into its retirement."
